Week 6 Scoring Rubric Assignment
· Points 100
Based on what you have learned this week, develop a written assignment for a nursing curriculum topic and provide two (2) rubrics to assess the assignment. *You may use the curriculum that you have already created earlier in this course. Make sure you have made improvements any prior submitted assignments as recommended by your instructor.Â
Compose a paper that outlines the content area, the topic, and the detailed written assessment that your students will be asked to submit as evidence they have mastered the subject. Some ideas of written assignments are:Â
· Research papers
· Reflective journals
· Detailed case analysis
· Written process or procedures Â
After you have explained the assignment in detail, add two rubrics that can be used to assess the students work.Â
1. Include an analytic rubric that identifies the content, criteria, and the characteristics that the students will be assessed on. The analytic rubric should separately score individual components of the assignment.
2. Include a holistic rubric that involves evaluating the assignments overall quality.Â
In both rubrics, you should address the evaluation criteria, the scale or levels of achievement, and the descriptors that define each level of achievement. Label each rubric clearly.Â
Additionally, include a two- to three-paragraph conclusion that explains why rubrics are used in nursing education and any limitations they may have. Cite at least one scholarly resource beyond your textbook to support your opinions. Compose your paper in APA format with a title and reference page.Â
See examples of rubrics in Chapter 11 of your textbook as well as the websites listed below.Â
