This year we have learned about a slew of social movements and ways individuals have worked to challenge their government. You will be working on the question of why it is important to raise awareness of A particular social movement/issue in the city of Chicago. Raising awareness is important, especially in regard to social movements because you are trying to educate, inspire, and present a positive image to others on why there is a need for change. You will be researching a movement/topic in your map twin’s neighborhood.

STEP 2: REFLECT AND EXAMINE YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Directions: Consider where you live. Take pictures of your own neighborhood. The five questions in bold are a must answer, please choose an additional two questions to answer. Take note of your responses, keeping track of your immediate thoughts here and/or expanding upon your notes later (on your own paper or smartphone).
