Sells handheld ultrasound devices

Background: develops and sells handheld ultrasound devices and software in the US and International markets. Over the past couple years, the management team has invested in multiple channels to accelerate the growth. Our Head of Sales sees an opportunity in Channel 4 by providing a Butterfly leasing option which would alleviate the need for upfront capital. They also want to use Butterfly’s software to manage all the ultrasound devices and imaging. Our CFO wants to understand the potential impact on revenue from shifting to a leasing model for Channel 4 and as well as is looking for a revised FY revenue forecast.
Product Details: Probes can be sold with Individual, Medical Education (Med-Ed) or Security software licenses. Probes retail at $2,400 for channels 1, 2 & 3 and $3,000 for channel 4. Distributors might require a revenue share which will be considered as a discount to the price per probe. The cost to manufacture a probe is ~60% of the sales price and the cost to deliver the software is ~15%.
