Promoting Oral Language Using a Children's Book

Select and read a children’s book that aligns with the grade level that you intend to teach. Develop 5–7 questions that could engage students in a discussion about the text. The questions should encourage and promote students’ use of oral language. If you will be teaching at the secondary level, focus your questions on a small section or chapter of a book. Post your questions along with the title and author of the book.
