Nursing Competencies and Theoretical Knowledge

Being a competent nurse is extremely important in caring for our patients. I am sure you have come across a nurse or two who are not strong in the core competencies. What are your thoughts about how an individual can become competent theoretically and in the areas which they lack competence?
