According to a National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) report, “The Index of Small Business Optimism,” the level of optimism declined in February 2016 to 92. The report’s Optimism Index contains questions on employment, capital outlays, inventories, the economy in general, sales, credit, expansion, and earnings, among others.
