The formation of friendship between Enkidu and Gilgamesh by the gods in the epic of Gilgamesh which is the utmost work of early Mesopotamia helps to transform Gilgamesh from being a mean and brutal king to a modest and truthful person. This change in Gilgameshs life portrays his diffidence and morality. Sin-Leqi Unninni did a great job in the epic of Gilgamesh by translating how human are enthused by the act of love. An important lesson learnt in the Epic of Gilgamesh is that love is a powerful bond that binds the world together, and also to accept one own mortality just like Enkidu and his friend Gilgamesh found their reasons in the quest of chasing everlasting life. This allows them to understand the puzzle of life. ******************************************************** ITEM2 PROFESSORS COMMENT AND CORRECTION ON THE THESIS TOPIC: Love and Friendship in the Epic of Gilgamesh Sefe, you did a good job identifying your topic; however, from your proposal, it appears that you could go in at least two directions for your research paper the transforming power of love or accepting your own mortality.
