lab Technology The main objective for this lab is to familiarize students with latest Technology used in manufacturing industry like Rapid prototype machines and reconfigurable manufacturing systems . Lab Tour Students are given a tour to IMS Center, during your visit several machines are introduced with a brief explanation. Sm all briefing about the famous iF ac t o ry will also be given, c arefully follow and take notes (if possible pictures) and submit a report. Student are to be divided into three groups. Requirements (Due in 1 Week) ? Carefully observe all machines and list all of them in your report including their manufactures and brief explanation about the machine. ? Also comment on the iF ac t o ry in your report with pictures if possible. ? Also comment on Rapid Prototype machine in your report with pictures if possible. ? Answer the following Questions: 1. What is a Manufacturing system, identify and define different types of systems? 2. Wh at are different types of rapid prototype machines or techniques available currently? 3. Which type of r apid prototype technique used in the machine shown to you? 4. Explain f lexible, r econfigurable and changeable manufacturing systems? 5. What mak es the iF ac t o ry d ifferent from other manufacturing systems? 6. Find out how many iF ac t o ry are available in North America and worldwide? 7.
