Gender Issues for Correctional Officers

Should gender be a consideration in assigning Correctional officers? 1. Discuss the problems that a female correctional officer would face when working in a facility for male inmates. 2. What problems would a male officer face when working in a facility for female inmates? 3. What advantages might there be to having COs of one gender working in a facility for inmates of the other gender? 4. Do you think COs should be required to work in same-gender facilities?
