Components of the Criminal Justice system

Prompt: Pick one of the three significant components of the Criminal Justice system and describe its role and purpose in the criminal justice system. Additionally, describe some of the major issues within that branch of the CJ system (at most, discuss three issues) and what has been done or is currently being done to fix those issues and problems. You are to defend each point using the slides, the book, and academic resources such as journal articles/studies. All the points that you are making have to have a source.
